Does love really mean anything goes as many think? Does it mean what’s good for me is what I define it to be? Is love really something subjective, meaning it changes depending on the person? Today Jesus teaches Christian love is a standard God sets and he seeks us to meet in our actions. It asks, “What does my neighbor need,” and is then willing to sacrifice time, money, even our own wants in order to help another human being.
God's blessings to you as we see this kind of love in our God who is for us in Jesus Christ.

Dear St. Paul's Family and Friends -
There aren't any photos in today's lessons of the ideal pastor. There aren't any specifics on what kind of man stands before us with regard to size, height, weight, or physical strength the way there are requirements to ride a roller coaster. But our readings present to us the ideal shepherd who is qualified to represent Jesus. Listen carefully! Where these things are revealed and evident in a pastor, what a blessing that will be for the people of God! How happy they will be in the Lord! How strong they will be in his word.
Listen to that shepherd and follow his lead. He's leading you in Christ.
God's blessings to all of you -

As Jesus traveled around, teaching and preaching, so many people followed him. Some were amazed by his miracles and teaching. Others gave up everything to follow him. Some were skeptical, while others were downright hostile. Will you follow Jesus? Today, Jesus corrects the ideas of several people about what it means to follow him. He calls on us to make him our priority and our passion. Following Jesus Comes First. Our sermon is from Luke 9.

When an oversized tractor trailer with vehicles in front and back with flashing yellow lights is only hauling three massive tires, you know whatever those tires belong to is a massive and powerful machine. The readings we have this weekend about the three persons in one God we have display a God who has no equal and is unparalleled in power. He demonstrates that today as he puts a legion of demons in their place. Such power to rescue makes powerful witnesses out of all of us.
Happy Father's Day to fathers!
God bless all of you -

Last weekend, we celebrated the coming of the Holy Spirit, who works faith in our hearts. Just who is the God that he leads us to trust? The Spirit-inspired Scriptures teach that there is only one true God who is three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Christians over time have come to refer to him as the Triune (three-in-one) God. Today we celebrate Blessings from our God, the only true God, our Triune God. Our sermon is based on Romans 5.

Greetings St. Paul's family,
This weekend Jesus lifts our perspective from this world to the next. He wants us to see the incredible home of heaven God has prepared. With such a home and Savior there, Jesus fills our hearts that our time of struggle on earth until then is just _a little while. _ Let us keep the perspective that our time on earth is short and hold onto the Christian faith.
May the Lord bless your worship this weekend!
God's blessings,
pastor

During Holy Week, Jesus showed his disciples what love looks like. He humbly served them by washing their feet. He selflessly sacrificed by putting others ahead of his own life. Part of celebrating Easter is living the new life Jesus has given to us. Today, Jesus reminds us that everyone around us will know we are his disciples by our new life of love. Our sermon is based on Acts 11.

Good morning St. Paul's Family and Friends - This weekend we celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday. It's a humbling day to take to heart the incredible leadership Jesus carries out on behalf of his sheep. And to think at the same time there are those that wander for something else or what they perceive to be something better! This weekend we consider his caring work and his power to protect those who are his. Join us in person or through the livestream. May the Lord bless your weekend, and Happy Mothers' Day to moms! Last weekend, Jesus sent his disciples out with the keys to forgive or not forgive sins. In our lessons for this Sunday, Jesus reassures his disciples that he will take care of them as they carry out that mission. Since this Sunday is also Confirmation, we will hear about the strength and courage only the LORD can provide as we face struggles against enemies to our faith and battles against temptations all around us. Our sermon is from Joshua 1.
