This weekend millions of Americans will get together for Super Bowl parties and eat pizza, nachos, wings, and other tasty foods. We love being together, even if our team isn't in the big game! Christians come together not just for entertainment and socializing. We come to celebrate the most important victory: Christ's victory over death and sin and Satan. This victory is ours, and he lets us partake of it in the Lord's Supper. This nourishment for our soul is one important reason we come together often! Today, we are together for a holy meal. Our sermon is on 1 Corinthians 10:16-17.

Greetings everyone!
One great joy we have in gathering together for worship is simply this: faith spreads. By the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, God strengthens his people in faith and moves our mouths to glorify him in the world. Our sermon text clearly says these things from Romans 10:12-17.
May the Lord bless your growth in our risen Lord Jesus!

When Jesus healed and drove out demons, the people begged him to stay. But he had something more important on his mind: proclaiming the good news to more people. In performing miracles and driving out demons, Jesus showed that he cared about people, soul and body. But even more, those miracles pointed to Jesus’ authority to share the Word. Learn his Word. Put your trust in his Word. Grow in his Word. Receive righteousness through his Word. Today we hear how gathering is important for instruction in righteousness. Our sermon is on 2 Timothy 3-4.

The LORD told Adam and Eve that there would be enmity - that is hostility - between Eve’s believing offspring and unbelieving children of the devil. That has been true in every generation since. Where can children of God turn when God’s enemies belittle and blame and abuse them? Through these Sundays after Epiphany, we continue our focus on the blessings of gathering as God’s people. Today we gather for boldness in opposition. Our sermon is on Acts 4.

Greetings St. Paul's Family and Friends
As we continue through the Epiphany season of the church year (Epiphany means revealing; God revealed Jesus as the world's Savior), today we see how incredible the means of grace are for our salvation. Through them God brings us his strength.
We study this through the second lesson from Ephesians 3.

When a popular movie is about to come out, people can’t wait to watch it. They share movie trailers with each other online and talk about it in person. They can’t wait to purchase tickets to go and see it. And when they finally get their seat in the theater and the reel starts to roll, they could clap and cheer. Today is a day to celebrate because we view the beginning of the long-awaited ministry of the Messiah. God puts his stamp of approval on his Son Jesus as the Anointed One. Just as Jesus’ baptism was the beginning of his ministry, our baptism was the beginning of our spiritual life; it's where God saved us. Baptism reveals God’s Choice. Our sermon today is based on Titus 3.

A baby is born every 12 seconds. That’s 140 million babies born each year. Yet this child born on Christmas -- there is something that sets him apart from all others. With this child, we have everything. Without him, we have nothing. What child is this? He honored his heavenly Father and his earthly parents perfectly. He suffered for us and made us holy. He is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters. Jesus is our obedient brother. After the build up to Christmas, the next day can feel like such a let down. Yet we have reason to rejoice today as we find the child Jesus, our obedient brother, in God's house. Our sermon is from Psalm 84.

Greetings everyone, Through the first few weeks of Advent or focus has been on aspects of humility. As the Christ child is about to come into the world, our lesson this weekend has us look at his humble attitude. It is so encouraging to see Jesus understand both his role and his body. Then you see an incredible attitude that wants to put it to work...and for us! The sermon text is Hebrews 10:5-10. God's blessings as you ponder such an incredible gift and Savior God presented to us in Jesus. Pastor Mueller

People tend to feel a lot of pressure this time of year. We want our houses to look good for out-of-town guests. We want to impress people with the thoughtfulness of our gifts. What a welcome relief, therefore, to hear what is required to meet the Lord: only repentance. You see, Jesus is not someone we need to impress with our good works. Indeed, repentance is the opposite of work. Repentance is the humble admission of our sin combined with the joyful trust that everything needed to bring us close to God has already been done by him. Our sermon today is based on Malachi 3.
