Greetings all -
For the next four weeks we go back to the basics of Christian financial stewardship. This Sunday starts where all Christian life flows - from the heart of God who gives us grace. It's his heart, shown in Jesus Christ and revealed in the gospel that changes ours. May we treasure our Lord and show our heart for the Lord in our giving.
The sermon is on 2 Corinthians 8:1-5.

If last weekend was a closer look at God's law, this weekend we see what a miracle the gospel is ---and what a distinction it makes for our lives! It is a remarkable miracle!
This Sunday in first service is also the installation of our Sunday School teachers. Thank you for your service to the Lord and teaching the next generations!
Sunday school also begins this Sunday at 9:15. The registration link is on our home page in the slider. Adult Bible study is at the same time. You have two choices: a study of evangelism (sharing the good news of Jesus) or a study of Jesus from the New Testament.

We humans tend to look mostly at externals when it comes to God’s law. I spoke kindly to my co-workers today. I went to church this weekend. I spent time with my children. I did all my homework. I’m good, right? Today, Jesus reminds us that God’s law is more than just an outward surface matter. It exposes our hearts that are by nature far from God. Today, we seek cleansing from Jesus for our hearts as we take A Deeper Look at the Law. Our sermon is based on James 1.

Our Scripture lessons have been recounting the sad spiral of many disciples away from their Savior. Our sermon on Exodus 7 reminds us again not to turn away from the Lord.

Today we finish our last sermon on John six. For four weeks we have studied this chapter. How important these truths are for us - and for us to eat by faith.
Three weeks ago we saw the incredible food miracle Jesus did.
Two weeks ago we studied why he did it - to give them an appetizer to see him as God.
One week ago we saw the main course Jesus served them when he declared himself to be the bread of life.
Today we see the dessert God offers us through faith in Jesus. Come and worship!

The magnificent declaration of Jesus to be the bread of life deserves a second look. As the crowd tries to understand what Jesus means with the phrase, they stumble to grasp the significance and begin to turn their nose up at the meal! May it never be for us! May the Lord lead us always to feast on this heavenly food and live!

For the next three Sundays we study Jesus as the Bread of Life from John 6. How important and essential to our lives is he? How do our bodies and souls live on this truth? Are we any different from the crowds that gathered before him at the Sea of Galilee or have we digested these things by faith? Come and grow, assess your life and spiritual diet. Learn anew how we live in our Savior Jesus Christ.

At some point in life, most people have one of those months where they wonder, “How can I possibly get through this?” It doesn’t seem as though there will be enough money to pay the bills, or enough energy to do everything on the schedule, or enough food to go around. Yet the Lord has a way of taking care of us. Either he realigns our expectations with our needs or he reminds us that he will take care of all our needs. With him we have nothing to worry about! And his grace keeps on going: he gives us plenty to share with others. May we always trust that the Lord provides for generosity. Our sermon today is based on John 6:1-15.

Do we really need police officers? Do we really need parents? Do we really need teachers? Yes we do! People need to be protected, cared for, and guided. These were some of the things that a shepherd would do for his sheep. The LORD knows this and has provided shepherds for his people for thousands of years. This weekend, the LORD reminds us that we all still need a Shepherd. Our sermon is from Mark 6.

If you are going to do a quality job, you need to meet the standards. To serve God and his people, he has high standards...after all, they represent him. Come and grow today in the depth, character, and qualifications servants are to have as they share his holy Word with people. The lesson we focus on is Jesus sending out the 12 disciples to interact with people and minister to them.
