Does it ever seem as though Christianity is becoming less and less popular? God's people have always faced rejection. The Old Testament prophets were not well-received. The New Testament apostles said that people would not stand for God's Word but instead would only listen to what they wanted to hear. Jesus himself was rejected in his hometown. Today, the LORD teaches us to speak his Word even in rejection. Our sermon is based on Ezekiel 2 and 3.

The Lord gives us many opportunities to trust him. Perhaps the most difficult time is in the midst of death. The pain is so deep and it seems so final. But the Lord teaches us this weekend that we can trust him for forgiveness and hope and life, even in the face of death. Our sermon is from 2 Samuel 12:12-25.

Trust is a tricky thing. We've been let down too many times. We've been burned by placing confidence in people, plans, or products that don't stand up to their words and warranty. Our lesson today would have us reconsider God. Is there anyone like him? And as we look at his words and the warranty of his promises, what does he deserve from us? Are we placing in him our full trust? On this Father's day weekend, we see the importance of what our Heavenly Father did in providing us the Bible. Contrary to our understanding and reason, he put power in the Word, his power. And when the Bible is put to its proper use for people, like a seed in the ground, all by itself it does its work.
Join us in worship as we study Jonah chapter 3.

The devil is more than just a myth or a nightclub owner in a Netflix series. His lies brought about the fall into sin. His influence has incited pride and plague. His power has brought about destruction and death. He was a liar and a murderer from the beginning, and still leads the whole world astray. Yet today Jesus reveals once again his power to set us free to live as his brothers and sisters. Jesus binds the devil. Our sermon is based on Mark 3:20-35. his weekend, we take a look at the law that the Triune God has given us to follow. Many people, such as the Pharisees, miss the point of the law. God wants what is good for us and works through the law to benefit us. On the Sabbath Day, when the Israelites were not to work, the Lord intended to bring them rest and refreshment in him. The Lord uses the law to bless us, not to bind us. Our sermon is on 1 Samuel 21:1-6.

Trinity Sunday follows right on the heels of Pentecost. Why? The Holy Spirit reveals to us the author of our Salvation - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is a God like no other. By his Word and works he shows us why is is distinct from all the other pretenders and man made idols vying for the throne of people's hearts.
The sermon will be on Romans 8:14-17, and will focus particularly on the work the Holy Spirit does to impress us we are God's family.

50 days after Jesus rose from the dead he carried out another promise - he sent the Holy Spirit. On that day the Christian church began in power. The apostles put their gifts to work and spoke about the miracle of Jesus' ministry for sinners to all who were there. Many were baptized.
Down through the years we are the recipients of the Spirit's ministry. He continues to counsel us by the Word of God to see the work of our Savior and have his peace. We celebrate this fact in our services today!

Each year on the Sunday between Ascension and Pentecost, the Gospel lesson is a portion of Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer, which he spoke the night before his crucifixion. Although he was about to suffer unimaginable torment, his concern was still for his disciples and for us. This prayer is a glimpse into the heart of the One who intercedes for us even now at God’s right hand. Father, protect them! With the hostility of the world around us, with the evils of temptation and indifference and guilt that threaten our souls, Jesus prays for our protection. Our sermon for this weekend is from 1 John 4. Perfect love protects us from fear.

As we continue the Easter season, we hear about a major focus of our new life in Jesus: love. On the night before he showed the greatest love, Christ spoke extensively with his disciples about love. Love listens and obeys. Love speaks and includes. Love puts others first. Jesus commanded that we love each other. Love like Jesus. Our sermon is from 1 John 4:1-12.
